The first step is to Pre-Register for the Canton Fair. This puts you in their system so that you can then apply for your Badge and also the Invitation letter.

Overseas Buyers attending the Canton Fair require a badge to get into the fair.
After completing pre-registration, overseas new buyers can collect the first Buyer Badge for free at alternative registration offices such as Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and designated hotels in Guangzhou. You will be staying in a designated hotel so this will make the process much easier.
In the portal, there is an option to apply for an invitation letter. Follow the instructions and apply. this is very important as you will require this letter when you apply for the visa to China.

After completing China Visa Online Application Form, you need to book an appointment for visa application submission to the consular office through the Appointment for Visa Application Submission website.

There are 2 ways to ways to submit your Visa Application.
Make sure that if you are doing it in person, you have made an appointment. You will get your fingerprints taken while you are there.
This generally requires you to be at the China Consulate prior to the 9am opening. It usually means that you will be in a queue from 8am to get in.
You will be given a pickup slip when submitting your application in person at the consular office. You must bring the pickup slip for passport collection and make the payment for your visa application.
